LSW, Staff, Psychotherapist

For some, the idea of therapy can be intimidating. I strive to create an environment that is safe and welcoming where those I see feel empowered to express and explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences which can give insight into behaviors and patterns. For most children, this is done through play therapy, utilizing the natural medium of play as a way for children to express themselves. I meet each individual where they are and adjust my approach to meet the needs that they express, whether verbally or nonverbally. Therapy is collaborative and I find engaging with the family to support the child to be an important part of the process as well when possible.I work with individuals who are experiencing or looking for support with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life-transitions, relationships, mood, identity, trauma, self-esteem and parenting. I am also passionate about bringing services into the community and help to coordinate the Treatment Center’s partnerships with schools and organizations across Chicago.
