I am currently enrolled in the Master’s Program at ICSW (The Institute for Clinical Social Work) and interning at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute (CPI). As of now, I see children and adolescents at Hayt Elementary School and will begin seeing adult patients at CPI’s treatment center soon. My clinical interests include: South Asian peoples and cultures, immigrant experiences, self-esteem, sex and sexuality, cultural issues, couples and relationships, families, children and adolescents, religion, eating disorders, body dysphoria, divorce, polyamory/open relationships, grief/loss, and life transitions. What excites me about this work is the possibility of assisting others in the transformation of their being, promoting adaptation in the face of difficult and challenging circumstances, and helping patients mourn both what they know and do not know they have lost. As a recent immigrant, I am particularly excited about working with immigrant communities on these clinical matters, although I am committed to working with anyone who is seeking help. Furthermore, as a new mother, I am excited to work with children and to strengthen my education in child development.
